For Professionals & Organisations
ACPS works with GPs, charities, universities, healthcare providers, and community organisations to support clients who may benefit from counselling or psychotherapy.
We understand the importance of reliable, ethical, and responsive referral pathways in mental health and wellbeing services.
Our aim is to provide a service that is easy to work with, transparent in its process, and supportive of the individuals being referred.
Supporting patients who may benefit from talking therapies alongside or after primary care support.
Working with organisations supporting vulnerable individuals and communities.
Supporting students and staff in schools, colleges, and universities.
Supporting employee wellbeing and mental health pathways.
Collaborating with counsellors, therapists, and private practitioners.
Supporting local initiatives working with diverse populations.
Referrals can be made directly via our contact form or by email. We aim to make the process straightforward and responsive.
Once we receive a referral, we review the information and respond with next steps, including suitability and availability.
Where appropriate, we arrange an initial assessment or consultation with the client.
1. Submit referral enquiry
2. Review and response
3. Confirmation of suitability
4. Arrangement of next steps
Every client receives a thorough initial assessment to establish whether therapy is appropriate for their needs and to consider the most suitable way forward.
We can usually offer an initial consultation within a few days to a week and arrange ongoing therapy within a few weeks, helping clients access support without a lengthy wait.
When funding allows, we offer subsidised, low-cost therapy, helping make professional counselling accessible to people who might otherwise be unable to afford it.
ACPS is an established organisation with a long-standing reputation for providing high-quality counselling and psychotherapy.
